Diet And Epilepsy Natural Help For A Vexing Problem

First of all, let me say that I'm not a fan of the Atkins diet (as some suggest for epilepsy), and several options in contradiction with what others recommend for a diet that helps with epilepsy - the most important of which is to avoid animal protein. In addition, it is my opinion (shared by many others) that Atkins got a great right, but his diet was finally fatally flawed when marketing became centered around a simple formula and unhealthy basically eliminates carbohydrates and eat just about anything you wanted, including junk food and unhealthy excess fat. Some carbohydrates are essential for good health and I am one of those who believe he was referring to when the autopsy conducted on Atkins (and later covered up) revealed significant problems and major deterioration of almost all his major organs and systems. Strict adherence to diet really will result in weight loss, but come May with the cost of developing a chronic problem which may be life-shortening if not life-threatening.

If you are present when someone has a seizure:

Do not restrain the person.

Do not try t put anything into your mouth having a seizure may bite his or her tongue, but it is not life threatening.

Try to curb the decline, so that people can not guess what he or she fails. Often a person who knows is about to have a fit and you can ask him to sit on the floor, or help him sit up.

Leave the person lying flat on a safe surface. Do not put anything under the person's head .. If possible, turn the person on his or her side, supporting him or her in that position with cushions on the back during an attack. In this way, any saliva or blood from a bitten tongue will be able to flow out of his mouth.
